The owners of this Valley Home asked me to build a sound proof music room. The husband was a excellent musician who liked to turn

up the volume but did not want to disturb the neighbors so Wayne's Construction to the rescue! We did special staggered stud framing on the three exterior walls. This helps to isolate wall movement and vibration and keeps the interior noise from transferring from the inside of the building to the outside of the building. We also covered the interior studs with MLV (Mass Loaded Vinyl) which has tremendous density and helps stop sound waves from making their way through the  walls. We used normal insulation and drywall. We did a test when we were done with the addition! The speakers where turned up load and when I went out side I could hardly hear the loud music!
